The Euro issues have eased slightly and this has given a chance for the market to come out from under pressure. The EU has advanced Greece the 4.5 bln Euros to pay off its bonds tomorrow. Two goliath retailers and barometers of the economy, Wal Mart (WMT), and Home Depot (HD), announced good earnings. April housing was up 5.8% though new building permits were down 11%.
We are clearly in a topping type transitional market as evidenced by the whippy back and forth price action after a very big run up. Gains will not come as easy now and more risk is prevalent in both long and short trades. Rallies runs like this last one will usually die hard and there will be big battles that will have to be won in either a bullish or bearish scenario.
Since trading along with the trend is so important it should be checked periodically least we end up trading against it. T
